Yes. However, that portion (left hand, laces, in the boot) of the track they are referring to is not driven by NASCAR. I am under the impression they closed the track for NASCAR repairs. Also, clubs could drive the NASCAR short course as opposed to closing the whole track... I would think?!?!?

Looks like the track was tearing up in a number of places. Outer also loop doesn't look healthy (not as bad).

Entry to T9 was looking pretty beat during the 6 hour last weekend. Heat probably has something to do with it.

Disappointing as hell, but I think summit Point established a few years ago that rushed repairs don't don't have happy endings.

Meantime... Congratulations again to RumBum Racing.. Another 75 pounds of ballast and they keep winning. Very poised heads up driving.

Correct Rick - Group52 is still a go.

And we're keeping our fingers crossed.

I'm bummed about the RTR weekend cancelled and I'm hoping NNJR 8/3-5 is still on. When I was there in June for the Zone 1 event, one of the WGI staff mentioned that they plan to repave the entire track next spring-they should have done it this past spring....

Glen SCCA races this weekend are ON and confirmed.

+1 Geoffrey. I expect that the Glen on a bad day, track condition wise, is better than most (say, Summit) on a good day.

I raced there a week and half ago with SCCA. Seemed fine, but turn 9 (off camber) was pitted. Didn't impede, but first couple passes made one pause and look over carefully. Here my video:

Thanks. Camera is VIO-POV HD. Recording unit is very durable/water proof and separate from camera (lip stick-style), with built in monitor. It's more expensive than GoPro, but suits open cockpit better. I have no affiliation or any financial interest in the company/product, just very happy with it.
