Hi there,

I am up at Mont-Tremblant and my alternator failed. I am wondering if anyone has a remanufactured alternator in the area? I cannot find anything that will ship to our condo is less than 2 days.

It is a 1979 Porsche 911. I am looking for a Bosch Alternator.

Go inquire at the Crevier gas station in the village ... one of the owners is a Porsche guy with a 500 HP 1989 930 Turbo,i`m sure he'll be able to help you out !

Thanks guys. I did try the Crevier, but they wanted 850 for the alternator. A bit much.

I'll try my local auto parts guy first thing tomorrow A.M. and i'll find out if one is available,i get a discount so i can pass it on to you.

Well,just got back from Tremblant where the NER Porsche gang is playing and i met some really nice people as well as having seen a lot of interesting cars !

Unfortunately the alternator didn't fit Nick's application ( P/N discrepancy) but nevertheless it was a splendid way to spend the afternoon .

Will have to join them next year as they're a great bunch of people

Shout out to Phil who drove a part to Mt Tremblant from Montreal today to help a fellow Renlister out. Unfortunately, the part did not fit, but we made a new connection with our French Canadian brethren. Looking forward to seeing you and your son up here next year.

As for my son,yup he has his eye on my car,but if anything i'll buy him a 944 before he does any laps with MY car ... well at least that's the reasoning for now ... lol
