I had thought to install some e-track on the walls of the trailer to tie down some palstic tubs filled with gear and a small tool box so they will not shift when towing. Just heard about these load bars. I'd be interested in your experience using them. Seems like a useful and inexpensive way to do it.

I don't use any tie-downs and I've had no issues with my plastic containers moving during transport. I do have rubber flooring, which helps to keep the loaded containers in place.

Hi Chris
Good choice; I use one in the pick up truck bed to keep 5 5 gallon fuel jugs in place and they work really well.
I have to lube the mechanism once in awhile.
They put some pressure on the sides to stay in place, so I'd be careful about putting a lot of pressure on the walls of an aluminum trailer.
