Try Kenny at Metalore in LA. They make sockets and the wheel nuts. If all else fails, I can hook you up with someone else who will make one or two for you. This place makes our wheel nuts and sockets for our racecars.

I have 50+ photos of # 14 I'm sure. Limerock. I'll try to find the box- pre-digital
this the car?
1984 Porsche 962
Chassis 962-103
Estimate: $1.75 - $2.225 million
According to Gooding & Company specialists, this car is the finest example of the Porsche 962 and one of the most successful racing cars of its generation. With only two owners from new, this back-to-back 24 Hours of Daytona winner will be one of the Drendel Family Collection’s most significant offerings at the auction with its immediately recognizable Löwenbräu livery, list of legendary drivers, unrivalled racing record and superb documentation.

Yes I bought it at the Drendell auction. That was an amazing collection and a fun auction to attend. I thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to grab one of those cars. The interior is a bit snug...

956-001 was for sale in Rothman's livery. Basically half a million bucks. I had recently read about unusual investments that could be made with retirement funds. Hours of daydreaming and scheming.
That car only had one race, then was the test mule at Weissach for subsequent 956 development. No where near the legendary status of Dan's car. But it was Serial #001!
Unfortunately that small sliver of my brain devoted to reality and personal fiscal responsibility carried the day. Ever since I've tried to keep that from happening again.

Wow, small world. I was just reading about this car in Sports Car Market - it's on the cover
http://www.sportscarmarket.com/car-r...84-porsche-962
You should bring it to Road America for the July Vintage Festivle, lead the Friday night race car parade into town.
Few years ago there was a trio of 962's racing an Audi R8. That was a fun time warp.
Congratulations on the new car!!!!

I had a similar experience, Mike, at the first Rennsport Reunion at Daytona.
