'Tribute To LeMans' Won On Strategy....
POC's Tribute To LeMans 4-hour enduro was won Saturday evening by the team of Bobby Faieta and Michael Avanetti in a 2011 ALMS Cup. Somehow, someway they managed to run the 4 hour race with just 1 pit stop which included fuel, tires, and a driver change. Bobby limped the car home to the finish line on fumes but still 1 full lap ahead of their competition. Their strategy worked....
Second place went to the team of Jesse Menczer, Robert Dalrymple, and Dan Aspesi,in Jesse's 2011 cup. Third place to Blair Chang and Michael McAlister also in a 2010 cup. Congratulations to our winners.....
Of special note: The Ironman Award goes to Behr Salehi who drove the entire 4 hour race by himself making 2 pits for fuel. Crazy Behr, just crazy.....
