944Cup

944 Cup registration is open for the June 23-24, 2012 event at Mosport International Raceway.

The format will be three Cup points sprint races. This event is part of the Pirelli World Challenge weekend. The 944 Cup will have its own 944 Cup only run group with 2 hours of track time.

Cars can be registered under one of three classes: Cup (aka SP1 and SP2) , Super Cup ( aka SP3) , and GT. Points will be awarded for the Cup and Super Cup classes for all 3 scheduled sprint races. The GT class is an open mods class and is available as a non points event only with no contingencies available.

To be eligible to race in this event, each driver must have a current competition race license from PCA, SCCA, NASA, or CASC.

Each race car entered for the event my have a current race log book from one of the same race organizations and be in compliance with that organizations safety rules.

The log book must reflect an annual inspection has been performed by the sanctioning body in 2012.

Mosport has announced a Friday test day for the Mosport event including 3 separate thirty minute 944 Cup sessions for $300 if registered by June 8.

The official Pirelli World Challenge event program will be going to print next week, so if a 944 Cup driver would like to be shown in the program, you will need to register on clubregistartion.net by this coming Monday cob.
