BGB would have been my other suggestion but I think they've got more projects than man hours right now. However, I could be mistaken.
There's also The 901 Shop and KMW. Really quite a few excellent race prep shops in Florida when it comes down to it.

Big Al, the 996 spec class is light in car counts here in FL for instance Sebring 48hr 2012 had I think only 2 or 3 996 spec cars and that race is the biggest race in PCA in the south, close to 300 cars this year with a waiting list. Not sure if the Road Atlanta PCA race had even one 996 spec car. Go to PCA web site, hit on club racing then review results and you can track how many cars were in each class. If your heart is set on a 996 I think staying in a stock class woud be the way to go.

Thank you for all your suggestions. Florida does have a lot of top notch shops...but unfortunatley there are also a lot of crooks too. Orbit and KMW are local to me and probably my first choices. Thanks again.

BigAl-
I run with MGM out of Pompano and have done so for the last 6 years. Been all over (and out of) the country with them. PM me and I can talk to you about all the shops.
Aside from honesty and pricing, you have to find a shop that's willing to do the type of racing you are wanting to do. BGB (Tecce is great guy) runs mostly Grand Am. Kevin at KMW (although awesome...) does mostly HSR.
Best,
Peter

Gentlemen thank you for all your help. After speaking with several people who know the car, in particular Ron Zitza and taking into account all of your suggestions, I pulled the trigger on the 04 996 gt3 converted race car and will be picking it up tomorrow. I have pictures posted on another thread called "2004 GT3 converted race - Which PCA class? " Take a look and thanks again. I'll be at homestead this weekend with it and in June with PBOC. Come find me...the car will be hard to miss.
