Wide open race today. My pick of Hamilton went from sweet to sour....
Still should be an interesting watch.
Please rain!

Gotta share my experience today with my RL brothers. I'm in France right now watching the F1 race with Rookie Toro Rosso driver Verne's mother at their kart track 30 min. outside Paris. He was as high as 11 in the first 1/3 of the race and the whole room was clapping. Interesting enough that when Alonso cleared Maldonado for P1 on lap 1, they clapped as well. Didn't expect that.

FVCKING SPEED TV.

Not only did they not show the anthem ceremony on the podium (the first time the Venezuelan anthem has EVER been played in F1), they switched to soccer rather than do the interviews.

WHY THE FVCK IS SPEED TV SHOWING SOCCER????

Don't mind missing the Venezuelan anthem but missing the interviews is complete BS.

+1. Amazing season thus far. Congrats to PM and the Williams team. Kinda nice to see a Williams finish P1.

Wow, so very happy for Sir. Frank. Been a fan of him ever since Keke drive for Williams.

And of course awesome drive from Maldonado! Congrats!!

I was hoping the race would've been couple of maps longer...

Great race overall.

And yeah, Speed somehow seems to be able to find new ways to disappoint... Seriously!?

Bid congrats to PM and good drive from DV and KR. Kimi will get a win this year. Big bummer for LH. He was my pick for this race and I'm pretty sure he would have brought it home in 1st. Lewis is really starting to show maturity (after the 1st race) and that makes it easier to root for him. Sounded like he was lobbying for a drive at Ferrari the way he was praising DV at the post qualifying press conference.

I did not get the last 15 laps of the race. Did the whole east coast get cutoff for futbol or just regions?

The tires are playing way too big a role in the outcome of the races this year. I don't like that. Qualifying sucked. Nobody wanted to waste a set of the crappy Pirellis to gain a couple of grid spots, so, what do the fans get - a less than flat-out event.

we dont get speed F1.........its blacked out so we did see the interviews.

PM had an excellent race and conducted himself very well on the podium and interviews.

FA did his usual "support the team' comments etc

Kimi thought the team made a few small mistakes that resulted in 'only' third. ?? He was 19 secs behind the top 2 after the final tyre stops and was catching them large............yes I know the others were timing to the end and backing off but another 5 or so laps might have seen a quite different outcome.

Big congrats to Williams and Frank on his 70th Bday............always liked the team since Mansell days

Congrats to the lone RL'er who picked Maldonado for the win, who was it?

Senna out Schumacher'd Schumacher. Looked like an open field tackle, and MS found his mark. Stewards give MS a 5 spot grid penalty.

Kimi must be quietly raging inside, if Lotus would have put the harder tires on his second stint he had the pace to win.

I didn't watch it live, but I noticed the lack of the anthem right away on the DVR. I also think it's BS that they cut the press conference to do soccer. WTF? I hope this isn't going to become on ongoing trend.

Caught the last 15 mins of the race in the morning. I was not suprised to see PM lead, since the track is famous for people winning from pole except for once. PM is the real deal, wow!
Things are looking good for FA. Tough break for Kimi as always. He is sure to win, sooner or later. It was nice to see Williams get back to the top of the podium. Hopefully, they can become a top tier team again.

Schublocker gets his oats, Alonso shines again, and an upset winner just about ensures that we'll have a sixth winner at the sixth race. Hammy and Kimi haven't been on the top step yet.
Great stuff, but how does soccer get coverage on SPEED?
