Extra hydration is key. Crystal Light in water. Fruit in the morning. Normal lunch. No afternoon snack for me.

We bring a portable gas grill and have burgers or chicken breast sandwiches at lunch and steaks for dinner. We did corn on the cob still in the husks over the grill this past weekend. Damn, that was good! Of course, beer for the after hours.

Plenty of water and Gatoraid to stay hydrated and fresh fruit to boot!

For lunch, yup, whatever Dwane is grillin'.

For breakfast - the Special at Lorraine's. The baked beans give me an edge.

bologna sandwiches on white bread with regular yellow mustard. Beer (after track closes)

After a disastrous failure to pre-fill the cooler before leaving home and arriving late to the track, I survived a whole weekend at Barber on white bread, bolgna, red bull and the generous folks from Mad Brew who brought a several kegs of their finest to make sure it was an all you can drink kind of Saturday night...Felt like $hit for a week after.

Anyone's appetite disappear during a race weekend? I've yet to figure out what it is, but over the course of a race weekend I'm rarely hungry and struggle to get down half of what I'd eat on a normal day.

I eat carefully at the track and due to nervous energy I do not have my normal appetite especially in the morning. I consume fruit, hard boiled eggs and a high fiber cereal for breakfast. I do make sure that I eat small meals several times a day. I use water only for hydration.

We consume whatever the wife puts into the motor home which usually feeds our whole group. Baked chicken, fruit, pasta, Orzo and wild rice (from Alexanders), land lots of water and sports drinks. Nights usually involve grilling, brats, burgers, steaks with grilled veggies.

Just roughing it

Me too, I just stick with yogurt and granola at lunch, maybe hummus and some carrots too, some fruit and lots of water and Cytomax.

Cheers, James

Trail mix. The stuff with dried fruit, nuts, and a few chocolate chips in there. I go through a big bag of it a day. I rarely eat a lunch, I usually just graze on that throughout the day. Lots of water, probably a quart of Gatorade, and y'all will probably disagree, but I do find a coke late in the day helps.

I made friends with people that own such RV's. Makes life much easier

Otherwise case of water, case of granola bars, couple of power bars, and usually grab some fruit from the hotel on the way to the track.
