Thanks! But, I'm stuck travelling until the middle of next month! Next track event may be MSR-C in May or TWS in June...

I'm going to have the alignment checked as a first trouble-shoot. I'll report here when I can.

Hmmmm, I thought he was in Katy ?
I know I've seen his car locally at one of the Porsche dealers before, or atleast one just like it.

I'm in Sugar Land now - been here since 2009! VR sleeps through people's moves.

Contemplating Mike Callas at Renn in Sealy, otherwise West Hou. But they are the ones who did the current alignment, so I wanted to use someone else.

I knew I had seen the car around. You are right down the street from me then, I am 5 min from Sugar Land.

I don't think your issue is so much with your alignment spec. Your car wasn't wearing tires excessively before the wing was it ? Only now after the wing ? So it's either related to the wing, which is my belief, or it's due to an off between now and then, which only you might know.
Will write more later, gotta run for now.

It wasn't wearing tires before the wing. But alignment was done in January, so it could have gone out of whack. I haven't been off the track or hit a big curb this year - or last for that matter. It's been on the trailer with wheel straps, but I don't tighten it excessively.

td,

How much downforce is that new wing supposed to generate at the speeds you are running the car compared to the old wing? If the alignment settings are correct, and the only change is the wing, it sounds like you don't have enough wheel rate to handle the additional aerodynamic downforce. The fix would be to use stiffer spring at the rear.

Did you balance this new rear downforce at the front somehow? If you didn't, is the car understeering more now?

Wing generates around 300-350 lbs at 120-130 MPH, which is the top speeds I see at this track on 3 straights. Just over 200 lbs at 100 MPH. 450 lbs at 150 MPH.

I have 900 lbs springs in the back. Stiffer is out of the equation for the time being.

I was having some understeer issue, but I added a cup splitter to trim the car for aero (although I moved the sway bars for mechanical grip as well).

Well, if the problem isn't alignment and the springs aren't stiff enough for the aero you added, there are two options: get stiffer springs or go back to the old aero package. That, or reduce negative camber.

A wing makes a huge change in the drivability of the car. You don't mention lap times or how the car felt relative to before the wing. Is it possible that the added downforce is allowing you to put down the power harder or allowing you to go deeper/harder into trail braking that is exacerbating wear you already have? It may be just the improvement in grip is pointing out a weakness in your alignment...
