I'm pretty sure I saw the sweeper/blower was used at least twice a day - morning and lunchtime. I suspect the issue is greater than just keeping it clean.
The surface also seems to rip through tires. My RA1s went from newly shaved to completely bald and treadless in the space of 1 qualifying session and three 45 minute races. The previous set lasted 15 cycles and still had tread showing. I also suspect the surface was making tire management much more difficult than usual - I was constantly fighting with overheating tires.
