I agree with your take with one exception. I think you are far too kind in you asessment of Alonso's involvement in "Crashgate". I also can't prove it, but I find it incredibly unlikely that he did not know the plan ahead of time. I'm not willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, in fact his scandal ridden history leads me to believe he knew all about the plan.

I agree he has talent, but I find his values and ethics severely lacking. Some might say it's old fashion, but such things still do matter in my opinion.

F1 = 5% racing + 95% mix of money and politics. Having said this, I still enjoy the 5%.

You could pair Kimi with anyone and it would work, at least from his side.

Kimi and Vettel are close buddies, see each others, play badminton etc. regularly and they overall have somewhat similar attitude so I think those two would be the most ideal team mate pairing in F1 today.
