"Wolff, who raced as Susie Stoddart before she married Williams's shareholder Toto Wolff, will contest her seventh season in the DTM this year."
Without a doubt, the most depressing sentence I've read today.
Isn't motorsports great?

I don't know when they made that video, but the last time I saw her (recently) she did not look like that.
Good for her. Glad they brought a lady in to give it a try. Maybe she will encourage other your girls (like my daughter, I hope) to take up racing at young age.
She definitely has cojones to run in the DTM. Some of the best racing and racing drivers in the world.

Oh, I saw her plenty. She is always DALBF and she stays out of trouble.
The DTM is bad *** racing and she makes the grid every race. That is commendable. She is not a Danica ability wise, but she is still an inspiration to other female drivers.

"If Susie is as quick in a car as she looks good out of a car then she will be a massive asset to any team and on top of that she is very intelligent. I am really looking forward to having her in Formula 1."

I'm sure this had no influence on the decision:
"Susie will also attend a number of races with us. I should add that, as Susie is married to Toto Wolff, a director of Williams, her appointment was carefully considered and then approved by the board, with Toto recusing himself from the process."

They should put her in the next race - every session - we can see how ready she is to take on F1 - would love to see the delta between her times and Maldonado in practice, qualifying, and the race. To my mind this is an insult to women drivers unless women are happy to be chosen just because they are women and not because they are the best at what they do. I tip my hat to the first woman who kicks butt in F1 no matter what she looks like. No credit for being chosen due to nepotism or marketing appeal.

I'm an old engineer. The first women in engineering were not necessarily the best engineers or the smartest. They were the ones who were tough enough and stubborn enough to kick the door down. I imagine that it is even tougher for a woman in motorsport. I hope she is successful and helps to expand the sport to the other half of the population.
From the description of her duties in the article she may be far more qualified than someone who finishes higher in the on-track results.
