Default Mercedes SLS GT3 around the Nordschleife - Helmet Cam

Some cool footage from the weekend, giving a nice perspective of the Ring.

This car is bloody quick around there, takes some time to get used to how much speed you can take in some places vs the Porsche!!

Make sure to watch in HD 1080p!

Nice job working through traffic! Is that the same SLS that's in the FIA GT3 series? I might be testing one of those in a few weeks... looks easier to drive than a Cup!

Sean,

Great stuff. Keep posting the videos.

Guys like you, Jeroen, Rene, and Nick. All super quick in Cups and often faster than the works drivers. So I am curious. If you had the chance, would you ever even want to be a Porsche works driver, or do you like the flexbility that you have now?

To be offered this video... A treat and a privilege.
Thank-you for that.

Just not knowing what those other slower cars (much) are going to do spooks me somewhat.

Go Pro 2, can't get much better, or send me a link if there is? Spot feature doesn't work so well from helmet cam!

Pro's and cons, it would always be great to be a factory driver because of job security and makes life much easier off the track with organisation and team contracts. You often earn more money being free lance, but it's a lot more work that's for sure. To be honest I just love racing and am just glad to be doing it, so either way would be great for me! Obviously in the end to get into a proper car in LMP1 you need to drive for a manufacturer too.

Very hard there, especially as lots of the drivers have almost no race experience. Fine line between loosing time and crashing!

Not sure what would work better on a helmet inside a car Sean, it was the washout caused by the (I assume) camera using the inside of the car for exposure while the outside was so much brighter.

You do know I was joking though, yes?
Thanks for the video!!
