Default Is there such an animal? (trailer)

I would really like to have a lightweight, aluminum based, enclosed trailer that can double (or be modified) to be a sitting area with AC while not on the track. I've seen trailex models that I like, but they are too short to walk around in. Just needs to have minimal amenities so it is easy to pull. Does this exist? Needs to be under 6000 pounds loaded.

Im sure one could get an inclosed trailer and work a window a/c into the front wall somehow & power it with a gas generator.

if you do go thru with this I may have to stop by on a track day because your trailer will be the one to be in
I wish I had more support for you on the topic, then I wouldnt feel so bad sitting inside soaking up all your a/c and drinking all your beer.

You might be good with all your requirements except the 6,000 lb loaded part. A trailer that only weighs 6,000 loaded would not have a generator (200 lbs) or an a/c unit (another 200 lbs). Moving backwards, assuming a car (2800 average), spare wheels and tires (2-300 lbs), tools (200 lbs +) and the gen. and a/c (400 lbs), you would have to have a trailer that weighed well under 2500 lbs dry, and probably closer to 2,000 lbs.

My 28' ATC has 13.5KW A/C and a curtain halfway down (at about 12") - stays wonderfully cool in 110F heat.

When landlines aren't aval for 30A 120VAC, I pair a set of wonderful Honda eu2000i gensets which will run the entire trailer plus some.

No big deal. My 28 footer weighs 4,000 empty.

Yup, that's what I was afraid of. I could defer some weight to the back of the truck, but still would need a very light enclosed trailer.

Weight is the killer.

HD2500 Duramax - no problem whatsoever.

ATC or InTech are the best. Looking at getting a 24 footer right now. All aluminum with all the gizmos.

Your stated 6000# weight limit raises a bit of concern regarding your tow vehicle.
May I ask where this limit comes from and details on the proposed tow vehicle for this trailer?

The BRE Aerovault is 2,400 lbs, If your car is close to 2,000 lbs, you might come close, for $21K. It may also have a headroom issue, though, and you'd have to be very frugal with spares.

For a point of comparison
My 18 x 7 foot enclosed steel trailer is listed at 2,700 lbs dry. By the time the escape door, entry ramps, a tire rack, and a few odds ends added (E track, oil/fluid rack, etc.) it pushes 3,000lbs empty. My 2,400 lbs 944 Spec car, 2 sets of tires, tools, gas, and a few spares puts it between 6,000 & 6,500 depending on how many extras I bring for a particular weekend. You proposed trailer would need to be around 6 feet longer than mine.

I'd also wonder what you are towing this all with?

The enclosed trailex I owned was @ 1600 and had a6" taller height when ordered. No gen or AC but could've been added. You can get them to raise the height when you order them.

Towing with a 2012 Ford Raptor. Really don't want to buy another truck...I like this one. But, they suffer with towing capacity.

Hmmm. Didn't know that trailex could be raised. I will check into that. Also, will check into featherlite, atc and intech. Looks like the BRE may be too heavy.

Considering the truck you described I think the Trailex is your only choice. IMHO.
