Thanks, guys - we are making progress.
When I first posted this question, I got zero replies. Looks like later in the season is paying off.

Or, 'wow - that really works!!' as I have done a few times with Scott Leader and Dave Scott in the right seat (not at the same time).
Which one of them did you use the "Huh???" line for?

I would like one also, will you pick up the speaker output from both the student and instructor to send to Smarty or just the instructor? I will still need the cable from AIM to connect to the SC, correct?

Jerry - Is it just an 1/8" female jack? How does it connect to the SC, is it an adapter between the camera and the standard power line in? Maybe a picture would be easiest? I think Rick has a great idea, I would also like to use it during a race to add "commentary" like the "I was Seventh" video... but more along the lines of "WTF are you doing!" audio...

Both Scott's are great; very clear and articulate.
Which is why I want to hear it again. I would now have video, audio, and data.
I think this is a real good idea for the coaches out there. Good additional value for their clients.

I don't know if I'll get north this year, I would have been at the glen if my engine was done but it wasn't to be. I'm going to work on that idea though, I like it. If nothing else I'll probably see you at the DE DE at NJMP. I'm pretty sure I can make you go "Huh" as well. From either seat.

Gary

Peter's link to the cable is one choice. The other is a built in microphone with about a 1 M wire to the mic. The cable with the jack offers more flexibility. I have both cables and a nice mic if you want one. Early on I was having issues with the internal mic on the SC and used these external Mics. Now, I am happy with the internal one, so I have these cables laying around.
