As soon as the freeze on engine development is over, I am sure someone will.

Until then, unless you can convince the FIA you need a "reliability improvement" (or if you are Ferrari), no changes to the engine as designed.

Engine is useful for one of the four directions of acceleration.

Given what constructors will budget as acceptable cost/gram weight savings, literally every gram counts. Oz's are huge savings!
