Okay. So I am lazy and did not search because I am not sure how to phrase it appropriately to not have to sort through a million trailer threads.
Now that that is out of the way, does anyone have a source for the extended diamond plate ramps for an enclosed trailer? The ones that fold up and hang on the door in place of the standard shorter plywood extension on most doors.
Thanks much.

A bit of an old thread, but I am seeking some feedback. I've been running a spec boxster for about 5 years and could load it onto my trailer without the need of any race ramps, etc..
I just purchased a 996 cup, and it is a different story. I borrowed some 2 piece race ramps from a buddy and they did the trick. however, it is a pain in the **** moving them around and finding a place to tie them down.
I would much prefer to have some extensions built onto my doors. custom made seems like it would be costly. the pit pal products look like you can mock up something and it would be reasonable. the buffaloespeed website
seems to have disappeared. anyone who has used the pit pal stuff, can you please share your opinion? especially on durability and quality? any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.

I just installed the pit pal ramps in my new trailer. the thought was to be able to simply drive in....... well that was the hope. mine are 5’ long..... perhaps the 6’ ones would have been better..... not sure if they would have fit.... might have been too tight. Anyway, I still need to futz with smaller ramp additions to drive in/onto the trailer....... still a bit of the PITA. GL

hey SWK - just a question but have you tried jacking up the front of the trailer before loading/unloading? i don't even unhook the truck from the trailer, but I do use the tongue jack (its electric which is nice) to lift up the nose of the trailer about 4" before loading/unloading my racecar (it's very low). that makes the breakover angle in the back less severe and is *just* enough to drive on and off without a third set of ramps (i have a beaver tail with the additional fold out diamond plate ramps bolted to it already). just a thought and something to try
EDIT -- do NOT forget to drop the nose and roll up the tongue jack before pulling away! been there and done that lol

The quality of the pit pal products are very good. As for durability, it is too early to tell, but they seem to be built for the long run. In the past with my old trailer, I had to put ramps under the rear wheel of my truck to reduce the entry angle...it was such a pain..........I keep forgetting about raising the tongue........thankx for the reminder........

NO! Did that for years until wife got a splinter on them and told me if I wanted her to come racing anymore (she has a competition license) we needed to get 'real' ramps. The Pitpal ramps are good, but quite heavy, and I'm not enthusiastic about their method of attaching them to the trailer door (rivets).
