Default For Sale Wrecked 944Cup Car: Parts, Lemons, Chumpcar?

I am Selling the 84 Race car that I wrecked at Road Atlanta, when the steering wheel detached itself from the hub. The best parts still on the car are the rear suspension and roll cage. The rear suspension is steel. It has Racer's edge metal bushings, including Poly-bronze Spring Plate bushings ($300). It has Koni Yellows, 28MM Torsion Bars ($276) and long wheel studs. This car, driven by Eric Rupert, held the track record at VIR for over 4 years.

For Lemons or Chumpcar: If you have a 944 beater, it might be cheaper to add the missing body panels to this car than to install a cage in the beater. I can sell the cage separately to keep the cost down for "official" purposes

There is no front suspension, but I can mount one temporarily to move the car. The front end where the suspension mounts didn't move, but the extensions in front of the suspension are Tweaked and would need to be straightened. The rear quarter damage is significant, but didn't bend anything else back there. I have the hood, which was tweaked in one corner, but easily repaired. The Belt and Accusump are not included.

I can deliver it a reasonable distance in the Southeast for expenses, or drop the rear suspension off at any 944Cup and most PCA races in the South.

I would really like to sell the whole car for $700, but would take $500 for the rear suspension, shocks, torsion bars etc.

You call that extensive damage?? LOL - nothing a stud gun won't fix. I've backed mine into a wall hard enough to shatter the hatch, and she still came back to win many races and take lap records.

Racecars always get faster after you've crashed them a few times...

You could even hack off the front and build out a tube frame to carry a fiberglass nose. I'm not sure where that puts you in NASA/PCA/SCCA though.
