Hooked on Driving?
Anyone heard of this group before? I noticed they have two events at road atlanta as well as many other tracks.
Thoughts? Opinions?

HOD is a national franchise track day operation. I am very familiar w/HOD NE which is owned and run by Joe Mills, an MNY PCA long time instructor and generally great guy. Marc and I have been instructing for Joe for 2 years. I can only speak about the NE region, but Joe runs a fabulous event.
I hesitate to say that HOD caters mostly to the first day and beginner driver but I know that Joe promotes his events as a "drive your daily driver to the track...". All marques welcome and intermediate/upper run groups often have a core of interesting cars (i.e. the local Shelby Mustang Club) and people. The track is never over crowded and everyone gets a lot of track time, even the instructors.
The best part is that at HOD NE events everyone is encouraged to interact especially when we all eat lunch together. There is an air of professionalism and organization that is sometimes missing in the usual club events. Great care is taken to make sure that everyone is having fun. Hope the HOD in your region is run as well as NE -- I would definitely check it out.

Run with them when I need a fix... tons of track time with there new format, personally I feel there to lax with there groups and other drivers level of experience, I've had a couple close calls in advanced group with guys who shouldn't of been there.

I instruct for HoD here in California, where it was founded. I can only speak for our group, but we are extremely safety conscious and take the whole track day thing very seriously. Drivers of all levels are welcome and it is a great group for first timers.

I've ran with them in Nor Cal. Fantastic for beginning & intermedia level track days. Tend to be a little more pricey than other clubs, but it results in more mature attitudes and driving on the track (for better or worse). It's ok for advanced+ track dayers, but there are other clubs which give you more track time and are less strict on passing, etc.

I am considering going to their April 13 event at Thunderbolt as my wife might be running the Lemons event there on the 14-15.
Anyone considering this? I've never run with them before.
