Willow Springs w/POC: All-Star Lineup...
Rumor has it there's some real talent (and cars) signed up to race Willow Springs w/POC this coming weekend. It's our last race of the year and always a big turnout with perfect, albeit cold, weather as usual. Track records are almost always set there on this weekend.
Rumor says Mr. James Safronas will be running his WSC 997 cup against the likes of Blake Rosser in his 05' RSR, Dan Davis with his 900 WHP TT, and Bob Rodriquez and Galen Bieker in their ALMS cup cars. John Payne is bring out the Yellow Bee racing against a gaggle of modified 6 and 7 cups including several 2011 cups. This open class will be a hoot to watch and I expect to get lapped so I'll be seeing the leaders up close twice...
Our GT weight/whp classes, similar to NASA's GTS series, has really taken off in this our 2nd year of running them. We'll have 7 or more car in all the GT classes so the generous Yokohama Contingency will be in play for the first and second place winners in each class. Come out and join us this weekend and dress warmly....
Roll call, who's in?....

I always look forward to this event as the racing season winds down, and this race weekend with POC is always so much fun.
We have our GMG Track Day on Thursday as we get our GMG clients up to speed and then I can only make the Sat race so I can enjoy some beers after the checker!
Surfbum (Dave), you will do great and I have a few tips that should help you get up to speed......and Donn Vickrey will have a few more tricks up his sleeve as he visited our shop last week and we will have him in attendance at our track day as well.
Looking forward to it.....
Cheers,
James

Sorry George......hit the send button too early as we have a big race weekend for GMG with Darren going for the GT1 Championship and George going for his racing license.
I have worked with both of them this year and they have made great strides. Darren has already proven himself with several wins this year and I predict that George will go right up to the front in his class with his 2010 Cup.
The GMG lineup gets better every year.....looking forward to cheering BOTH Darren and George on this weekend!

I wish I could go, but I've got a commitment this weekend that I can't get out of. Sorry John/James.
James, I'm still interested in the header test we discussed this week. LMK when I can bring the street car up for that.
Best,
