I agree to try them and see if you like them. While the 97 is a great choice, the 01 and 06's are very good also. Try them and see if you like them, that's the only way to improve and continue going faster.
Mark from OG can advise well on this also, I am thinking that he has probably driven 911's with both compounds before.

On the PF site they don't address the difference between the 97's and the newer compounds (01's and 06's) as far as I can find. They compare the 01's to the 83(?) compound and the 06's to the 01's. I'm confident all of them are excellent, i'm sure at some point I will have to move from the 97's but for now they aren't holding me back..

I changed the order to the 06s. I'll report back on March 26.

If possible I would run the 97's one session and then switch over to the 06's to get an accurate assessment of the differences as long as the 97's aren't worn way down..

That would be nice if it was true.

The 06s work nice on the Carrera/SC. Chris, you will like them. Also on the SPB. The 06 will fall in between the 01 and 97 as far as initial torque. They modulate nicely, and don't chew on the rotors. Gary, you'd like them, but you don't seem to have any issues with your 97s and braking during a race, at least from my perspective after you got around me at SP.

If you missed out on the sale, email or PM me, I'll extend it for you guys.

I'll most likely give them a try at some point Mark, for now I am quite happily in my comfort zone with the 97's... and I have a new set on the way!
