Windshield mount for iPhone

not sure what you guys are referring too. I can video in parallel with all the data capture(run it so that start stop on the video is the same for start stop on the session). i can then either pull the video out separately without the data overlay, or layer the data on it into a separate video file. Video editing can then capture whatever portion of the video you want to save.

I have the large Ram suction cup and it is very strong. My concern is whether PCA will allow suction mounted cameras in their DE. Any advice? Dave

They do sell mirror mounts that replace the stock mount and hold both the mirror and the phone, but only for the usual suspects (Ford, GM, Chrysler) I couldn't see anything for Porsche.
Here's a crappy picture of mine:

This kit will get you everything you need, its technically to mount a phone to a bar on a bike, but it uses a unversal u-bolt approach that works well on rear view mirrors as well:

mophie.com has some mounting attachments for the iphone (including a wide angle "over" lens). But, this may be for a different application (camera) than what you have in mind.

I attached a 5 case to my old 4s windshield mount. To be honest it works better than the tom tom mount, especially on bumpy sebring. I also use a dual external gps antenna that connects via bluetooth and gives me much more accurate car placement.
