Default WTB Chasecam SS1000

If anyone is selling one I'd be interested. It's the gadget that allows you to run 2 cameras with the Chasecam PDR.

Yes. Manufacturing of the SS-1000 has been discontinued to push people towards the integrated multi-cam capability of the DIVA, IMO.

The PDR-100 is still available currently.

Hey jakermc, good luck in Daytona!

Yeah, this is too bad, in a way.

There are many folks, myself included, who appreciate the rugged, reliable and simple (balanced by the minor bulky and old-tech, not particularly good quality picture) of the seminal Chase products. Sure, it's old-tech, but it works and works unobtrusively and generally without complaint in the most hostile race car environments.

The new stuff from the competiton is cool, but Chase released the DIVA too early, IMO. Most people, myself included, have had quite a bit of difficulty getting the new system to do what we want it to do. Hence, my search continues for the old-school stuff to augment the new tech that is coming out all the time.

As always, YMMV. I must not have had enough coffee this morning...

Thanks, Peter! This is going to be my first FCRA race, first time at Daytona, and my first real drive in the 355C ... period. I don't think I've been this excited since my very first club race.

I had a chance to see and drive the car for the first time during the Chin event at your stomping grounds a couple of weeks ago. I played around conservatively and just enough to get used to the controls and how it reacted to inputs, but I think I'll be ready to push at Daytona. It seems to be a very predictable and easy car to drive.

BTW, the SS-1000 I pm'ed about came out of this car as I did not buy it with the car. It's nearly brand new.

I have one that I used for less than a month - its been sitting on my bench for about 6 months. I'm not sure what to ask so feel free to make an offer via PM.

Thanks much,

Rick
