Pre-casting call for new show - CMP & NJMP/Thunderbolt
I will be interviewing individuals at CMP and Thunderbolt over the next two weekends for a spec TV Series on PCA Club Racing and DE's.
This is a reality show that will focus on 6 principal characters as well as a number of other characters. I am looking for outgoing people who are not afraid of the camera.
I am looking for a full spectrum of drivers and backgrounds. Women especially! I want to show the passion of driving as well as the sense of community -- if you have the passion to drive, you have what it takes to be in the show!
PM me for details..
Please contact me ahead of time or you can find me this Friday at CMP in South Carolina (10/28-30) or at NJMP/Thunderbolt (November 4-6). I look forward to meeting all of you! Ann Deane, Producer (and Boxster/S driver).
I'll be with white car #742 and gray trailer at both events.
Everyone will be considered.
Ann

I'm sorry this is such late notice, I just got a thumbs up last week for a demo tape. I've been doing DE's and watched a couple of club races and have a real fascination and appreciation for the sport and the commraderie that goes with it. Yes, there is competition but there is also a sense of community that most of America doesn't know about and that is what I'd like to share. That and the frustration and joy of driving, the tears and laughter. The first time I went to a DE, my boyfriend said, "Watch out you'll never see so many trucks in your life." Boy was he right! I hope you want to share it too.

This sounds surprisingly like what we tried to do earlier this summer, even rented the Lightning circuit and staged a day of racing. Came up with a nice piece, have a look:

Ken Stadt is a genius editor, there were lots of different versions, and he could make us look like the best of freinds or the worst of enemies, depending upon how he cut it. Makes you wonder about shows like Housewives and the rest...

you're so right, Muss! Actually, none of the Lightning footage was used, as you can see. There were multiple cameras and mikes on virtually all of us, so there's a stockpile of footage that he's not even shown. This was just one of the trailers that he used to pitch it.
Some of the networks' responses were interesting.
