I spectated a few GrandAm races (Riley DP and Mustang) at Indy - Bike configuration last week. It's a much more interesting layout than the Indy GP config.
Maybe that'd be an interesting race...
But I'd be good with MX5 Cup cars at Mosport - great track.

Yeah the bike course, especially if the car is an MX5, would be a lot better than the GP config where we would have time to get a drink and sammich on the oval portion.

Race Car
Just fired up iRacing for the first time in several months and man do the cars seem to drive different. My setup on my favorite car no longer passes tech and I'm a rusty mess!!!!

some cars are better, some worse with the NTM. your mileage may vary

Still hoping to hear about this week's race. If we don't have an official one I'm glad to host a session. So far this week I've been running the Mazda Cup to try to knock more of the rust off.

well the person who requested Mosport has gone AWOL, so this week's race will be the MX5 at Indy, bike course. same bat time, same bat place.

bumped into one P. Long this afternoon at Truspeed (small world, eh?). He's going to be joining us tomorrow afternoon after a long break from iracing....during which he ran a few races, like the Laguna Seca 6 hours, Nurburgring 24, LeMans 24, and Lime Rock (which he won).
see y'all tomorrow!

One time I had to take a 1978 Saab turboprop from shreveport to charlotte. My seat frame was so worn out that during the violent turbulance it was yawing like 30 degrees. The woman next to me sounded like she was going to die. I had no armrest.

I am flying on 'merican; they fly these super 80s back and forth to Tejas. United is hit or miss, but they do operate one 767 back and forth from Dulles to Narita that really *feels* old. Like, you can't actually sit in the seat for 12 hours because there is no padding old. I look at airframe stamps pretty much every time I fly.
