After all the great feedback from this site on the best Axle/CV grease to use - I researched where to get the stuff at the best price.


I ended up buying the Krytox GPL 217 in .5 kg (500 gram) tubs for $170 which was quite a bit lower that almost everywhere I saw.

It was from one of the largest distributors.

They had it in stock and I just received it today.

Funny, no one has asked about this in 6 months and yesterday 6 people did in a single day.

What is the reason? I do not mind, at all, am just curious.

Here is the info from my Sept 2011 purchase..

I found Krytox 217 at an awesome price and got 2 tubs of it.

It was only $170 per tub .5kg (500 grams - circa 1 lb). One person that asked for the info just purchased some from them said it costs more now, but they do have it...

I got it from NetMercury.

Their Austin , TX location had it in stock even though their site showed back ordered.
