Here you go. Just about everything you need to be prepared and to understand what will happen at the track. Have fun, stay safe, and try not to confuse ambition with ability

Something to put your stuff in, a folding chair, sunscreen, a tire pressure guage and plenty of $20 bills to tip your instructor after each run.
Good to know about tipping the instructors. I have my first DE in two weeks, was wondering how that worked.

Just to make sure, tipping was a joke.

I bring a garbage bag (thick contractor's bag) or two. You'll be unloading a bunch of stuff from your car. Toss it in the bag in case of rain.

Have fun.

The Tipping instructors comment is a joke. For a laugh. I have never ever recived a tip as an instructor and never ever considred one. In fact if someone tired to give me money I would give it back. Instructors don't do it it for money. Most do it because they want to or the organzation gives them discounted track time. Now if you chose to HIRE a private instructor for the day then that is a different story. However PCA, NASA, BMWCCA, Audi club etc. These guys don't get tipped ever. The bet tip you can give them is your attention and a thank you when the event is done.

Ditto. Do not tip instructors, they do it for the love of their sport, not for money. I've been offered a few times. I've politely refused and will always do so.

Pray you get a better than average instructor.
I aspire to be just an average intructor....cough. But hey I love getting extra seat time even if is in the right seat. Good advice here...be prepared for major bloodflow. And flush the brake fluid. Good luck!

I completely agree. I'd love to know how this happened but I've got a pretty strong theory. When I stated "we" I was referencing other drivers at the event not the organization. This was my first time running with this group.

Many good point already mentioned. Also at all my DE events water has been provided. But it is good to bring some extra just in case. It is very important to stay hydrated.

Ohhh, and learn how to lie just a little about how fast you were. It does take time to learn this talent. I am still learning this talent because people are actually on the track with me.
