Impact Wrench
I'f like to buy a cordless impact wrench for removing lugnuts. Needs to be strong enough to remove my truck lugnuts which are installed at about 160 ft.-lbs. I like the Longacre one, but realize that it is just re-badged like a Geo Tracker or Eagle Talon.
Does anyone kno makes the Longacre one? ANy other recommendations?
Thanks,
Don

Sears 20V professional series is great for the $$. And, they have plenty of other drills, saws etc. that use the same Li-Ion battery pack.

Ingersoll Rand. Good tool for the money. Unmatched power to weight and plenty strong enough for day to day lug nut service. If my Snap On dies this is the next one. Price includes 2 batteries. Snap-On charges $150 for a single battery.

The new Longacre is much better than the old one, it was a POS. Call Mark Francis, they sell them and he can explain the difference. Snap-On is a close second but not as much torque, also had the Ingersol Rand and worked fine until batteries let out.

Just went through all this. Had a Snap On for years. OK, but STUPID expensive for batteries. Wound up with Milwaukee 1/2" 18v. 450 lbs of torque. Battery lasts LONG time. There are outlet stores, but I bought off Amazon at good discount and got an extra battery pack free.

Haven't found anything my bosch won't remove, and that includes axle nuts. 3 year warranty on batteries. Customer service is unmatched.

My Dewalt cordless drill wore out so I purchased a Bosch 36618B cordless drill (tool only) that uses the same batteries as the impact wrench. Both are stellar tools.

Have used a Longacre gun for the past 3 years and it has been great, no problems. If and when it dies I'll probably get a Milwaukee to replace it. I have had some other Milwaukee tools for 20 years and they are still going strong.
