What's it about?

Actually there are flashes of brilliance followed by moments of wtf. I think the writing staff is a bit uneven in their abilities. Given time they could work the kinks out

I've been watching it. It may not be Top Gear UK, but it's light years ahead of TG US. I'd like to see a little bit more technical car content, but I'll keep watching.

It's not the same as TG (UK) for sure but I actually like it. It could be better if they had some more depth to the individual segments.. And it would be nice to have a shoe on there when testing some cars.

Been watching them. Fine to pass 45 minutes. Wife loves "real" Top Gear, and sits through this one.

Re: getting someone who can drive. Anyone notice the quip from website dude on the last show on the Cayenne Turbo/MX5 segment that he said he was going through Willow 8 and 9 as fast in the Cayenne as he did in the R8 (though it was a cab)? And earlier they mentioned doing 80 through 8. It's been a long time since I towed down to Willow, but I think in my '92 C4 I was ~120 through 8 and borderline not shifting back down into 3rd for 9. Someone with data help me out..........

In my 944 spec I take turn 8 in 5th gear. Since I max out 4th at 100 mph I doing well over 100 mph there. In a car with only 135 whp.

Top Gear UK has set the bar way too high. TG US I think will grow on us eventually. The Car Show has promise but I dont get John Sally, a basketball player??? I agree with it needs a driver, even a retired driver.
