Why would AC leave (or be asked) to leave the team now?
The F150 Italia is as fast (or some would argue faster) than the Red Bull.
Alonso is the best driver in F1 and under contract with Ferrari.
Alonso is going to win the 2011 WDC.
It makes no sense.
What am I missing?
Oh wait a minute ... this has something to do with Abu Dhabi last year, doesn't it?

Reason?
When discussing Alonso?
Shirely you jest ....
Reason?
It's like trying to teach math skills to a chimp who is preoccupied with the banana hanging from the ceiling with a stick and a box.
Not to worry, eventually the same chimp will grow tired of trying to solve the problem and join the 999,999 other chimps pounding away at typewriters ... one of which will be responsible for the next enlightening post from Sir A.Wayne...
Based on last year's "discussion" regarding Pat Fry's imapct on Ferrari (first half vs second half ... the one where I foolishly used arithmetic when discussing the point) why would Ferrari get rid of AC, when it was shown (and argued by Raj ... in spite of the aforementioned math) that Fry had nothing to do with Ferrari's performance?
Clearly, it is simply because Alonso is in fact the best driver in F1, so much so that he does not require engineers, strategists, mechanics, aerodynamists....
Just strap him into any car and he will win, he and his performances are simply above and beyond the sum of the parts around him.
I'm shocked I never noticed it before.
BTW, I should have asked earlier ... is anyone here allergic to bananas?

Don't know about all that, but I do know that although Vettel is an excellent driver I am not convinced that he does not need Newey. But hey that's what makes a team a team and that is why the Red Bull TEAM is leading. Now it is up to the Ferrari TEAM to build on their momentum and try to challenge their dominance. Of course having the best driver in Fernando will be certainly help.
Have a great day Lewis.

Car set ups are all over the place with some anticipating rain and others opting for dry set up.

Congrats to Webber, but LH will take him off the line because he is a notoriously bad starter. Vettel will have to avoid hitting him in the rear, FA will get 2nd. Webber on pole is, likely, a waste.

Good win for Hamilton. He was the only one of the front runners who did not have an error in the race. All the other front runners made some sort of driving error(s).

I agree, it was a terrific race, and Hamilton drove an almost flawless race. He deserves the win, and I suspect he will get back a little of that respect back had lost over the past few weeks. There was a lot of wheel to wheel racing, and Petrov seemed to be getting in everyone's way

Webber continues to stink in one of the best cars on the grid. Hammy drove the wheels off his car to get the win. Vettel being so far off the pace is strange in a season where he has dominated. Is RedBull doing some engine countdown to the end of the season now or something? Or was Vettel's car set up for rain?
Fun race to watch. I'm glad it is the last race on Fox this season.
