LMFAO! Yuppies who live next to an active airport in a town that is rapidly dying whining about noise and not enough economic impact?

Priceless hypocrisy.

YUPPIE? Not defending that group but you obviously did not do your homework before you popped off with that. Looks more to me like a middle aged, intolerant, self-righteous whatever.

There are several videos on U-Tube that record sound from the track miles away.

I hope the compromise does not create another Lime Rock where so many drivers cannot go due to their strict sound limits.

I cannot believe that any resident of Millville or Vineland could under estimate the economic impact the track has to local and national merchants. I for one patronize local restaurants, hotels, gas stations, food stores and a plethora of other consumer venues.

Hmm. You sure about that? Have you ever driven thru any of the neighborhoods in the closest "circles" and sound reading areas in these pictures? I did once by accident (made a wrong turn), they are not middle aged retirees' neighborhoods.

Again, the proximiy of the ACTIVE AIRPORT to these people who are now complaining about the track noise is ironic...

just went on trackracket.org-- pretty smarmy and self righteous. geez.
not very conducive to good-faith negotiations and problem solving.

more than i'd like to admit (and will do here), i spend not insignificant money in that area every year-- hotels, food/drink, gas, etc, etc. and i know others similarly do. That group seriously underestimates the economic benefit of njmp, and, imo, can't be compared to danville, va.

Yup. They like to post pictures of downtown Danville too. I guess they dont know about the largest textile manufacturer there closing up shop. It isnt unlike many "downtown" areas that are struggling.

Maybe the track should start a "non-affiliated" effort to close down the local golf courses. Do you know how much noise the new drivers make? I heard that it is over 120 db. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/01...amage_hearing/ That and the tremendous amounts of water and chemicals that they use cannot be good for our environment, not to mention all of the lead acid batteries that they use up and have to dispose of in their golf carts.
