ya, i'll be there on Friday in my Honda Civic, trying for 'fastest FWD car'. I've made a bunch of changes to it since last Nov (where i ran a 1:19.8 at Summit Point). I *think* I will go sub 2:05 at VIR, unless there is some unforseen issue (or its raining of course). Sat and Sun i'll be racing my PTE Probe.

I'll be driving the Condor Speed Shop's 1988 turbo-powered-wide-body BMW 325is (E30). The car weighs 2,200lbs and has a stroker M20 with around 300bhp. It should be fun!

I may go as well. 50/50. Either take RS Barns 968 Firehawk or my slow GTS2 968. I'll shoot for fastest "rear wheel drive red 4 clylinder NA 1994 porsches" class :-)

I'm invited: Element Tuning STi #71

I know a Riley DP will be there but I'm not sure who's driving it. There was one there last weekend but it was running 1:57s compared to what Mark Gussens (spelling?) 1:44.

Oh also I did read somewhere there were going to be factory entries from Dodge and Ford so I'm thinking a Viper ACRX and maybe some crazy World Challenge Mustang. I'm thinking an overall winning time will be around 1:50 unless a pro is in the DP car and then it will be in the 44s.

No matter there are a ton of trophies this year:

Pirelli Ultimate Track Car Challenge Cup
BimmerWorld Fastest BMW
eBay Motors Quick-Kit (fastest component car)
eBay Motors Boost Master (fastest pressurized car)
eBay Motors V8 Thunder Award (fastest V8 production-based car)
eBay Motors Dean of the Old-School (fastest carbureted car)
Race-Keeper DMV Destroyer (fastest car with a valid license plate)
Ford Racing Fastest Ford
Fastest Honda/Acura
Fastest GM
Fastest Mopar
Fastest Mazda
Fastest Mitsubishi
Fastest Porsche
Fastest Subaru
Front-Wheel Drive Phenom (fastest FWD)
Rear-Wheel Drive Ripper (fastest RWD)
Traction Master (fastest AWD)
Furious Four (fastest naturally aspirated 4-cyl. production-based car)
Heavyweight Champion (fastest car over 3000 pounds, weighed without driver)
Whoa Wonder (fastest car utilizing stock brake calipers/rotors)
Track Terror (fastest purpose-built racing car)
Master Electrician (fastest electric or hybrid)
Winged Wonder (fastest production-based car with aftermarket aerodynamic elements)

Well, I'm not counting on any trophies, but still hope to have a good time - weather looks to be pretty hot, so that might slow people down a little.

Rob - regular weekend entries are posted on nasaforums - UTCC entry list I have not seen yet.

List is now posted on nasaforums - there is a definite lack of P-cars on the list...

I've been twice running in the JV-Independent class and finished on the podium both times. Not sure that I'm interested in going back now that they appear to have a class for every car entered. I guess everyone will be a winner
