Default ALMS @ Limerock - couple of questions

Hi,

I'm planning to drive up Saturday to Limerock for this Saturday's ALMS race, this would be my first time attending this race and have a few questions for those that have.

I'm thinking of buying the Porsche Corral ticket, what time would I need to get to the track by to avoid the peak rush to get into the infield?

Where are your favorite spots (trackside) to see the race?

Thanks in advance, appreciate your replies. Any other tips much appreciated as well.

The Porscheplatz ticket is well worth the additional few bucks that they charge. They provide refreshments, a place to hide from the sun (or rain), and interesting speakers. In the past, they have also had raffles for hot pit tours, etc. The peak rush is from 11 am until 1 pm, so in order to ensure that you get into the infield for good parking (Porsche's only in the Corral), I would get there by 9:30.

Perhaps the best vantage point is from the hillside near the esses, will be easy to find by the number of people there...

Porscheplatz is well worth it as pointed above. But it may be sold out by now, I think that space is limited.

Regarding the best spot - many people sit at the hill above the esses, many others sit at the hill across from the main straight. But there really isn't a bad place to be. And you can walk the whole track as the race progresses. That's my favorite spot

Do I really need to buy those tickets in advance to park with the rest of the Porsches? Last year I just bought tickets at the gate and was still able to park in the corral. I also didn't get there early- probably 1:00 or 2:00pm.

Diveganish, LRP is a great venue to spectate. You able to get very close the the track. It's small size enables you to move around all day long without exhausting yourself and you never miss much of the action. The drivers really earn there check for this one.

I'll have to check on this for Petit. Went last year as a "normal" spectator, it was awesome!

I got a ticket, although I will be taking the Cayenne because I have a 5 year old. No rush to get in, 10ish is okay.
