Plus from what we can see on this video, the cab didn't brake hard at turn in because he doesn't know how to drive around a track, but simply because he didn't expect to race door to door in this corner. He probably doesn't do that normally. He just didn't know what was the safer reaction in a situation he was not used to.

Even in a race situation, a similar pass attempt wouldn't earn the corner to the passing car as he wasn't committed enough to do it.

I am not gonna pile on Paolo here. On th eone hand, th epoints made by mglobe and others are sound. On the other hand, who among us has not found themselves in a similar situation in a DE where there are vast speed differentials in a particular group?

IMO Paolo's biggest fault was posting the video here.

Maybe Paolo's alter ego Jackie Lee was driving. Paolo - you need to keep him in check.

Was he a little aggressive ? Sure but this is a black run group, a driver at that level should be able to handle letting faster traffic by any where on the track. It should also be kept in mind that the cars palo is passing have double his horsepower if he checks up in the corners they just pull away in the straights. Mirror awareness at this event was less than optimal.

Nah...in that run group, there is no need to pile on Paolo. I have ridden in Black and Red at NJMP.

I made my point.

As an aside, I agree with Tom Burdge on some sort of driver experience tracking system.

Yes, but like Mark Kibort, he doesn't agree and won't give in.

He still does not feel he did anything wrong.

I agree with you provided that the event permits passing anywhere without a point-by. If not, the driver would not be expecting a pass there, nor looking in his mirrors at corner entry.....
