Looks like something like this would work. Anybody know the diameter of the DAS Sport bar for a 993?

AFAIK, that's simply not true. I've never seen any PCA requirement that roll bars must have some type of harness guides welded or bolted on them. Are you referring to holes in seats?? Those are never referred to as "guides" and that's clearly not what the OP is asking about.

Like Astroman, I just connect mine together with zip ties so they don't shift around.

The holes in the seats are a requirement for harnesses. I'm not sure if the guides will suffice with stock seats.

I've GT Recaros with holes, and I wrap my belts in the bar as noted above.

Phil, buy the Shaft Collars at McMaster-Carr. They are only about $13/ea.

I assume you will be wearing a HANS. Go to the Schroth website and look for the Harness Install Guide. There is a correct way to install and everything else is a mistake. The angle at which the belts enter the Harness Holes is the critical part for proper (tested) HANS function on impact. Get the 6 point belts if you haven't already bought 5 pt. That will make both you and your wife happen.

You can also use hose clamps over rubber gasket material, one on each side of the wrapped belt. But I have a DAS bar and they aren't needed so long as the run to the seat holes is straight and not too long.

Thank you for the info,i will get the collars from McMaster-Carr as i don't think they are cheaper anywhere else.
Got the roll bar installed last night,i think the hardest part was reinstalling the front seat ... lol

Thank you to everybody else who chimed in as well

Hi Bill, to clarify, you need a 2-piece collar (not 1 -piece), right?

See catalog link posted above.

Best,

Matt

Yes, 2 piece

1 3/4" ID aluminum is what I used for my DAS bar

Thanks, Bill. Makes sense.

I have my DAS bar, GT3 seats, HANS and 6pt harnesses newly installed, but have not propoerly and thoughtfully optimized fitment, angles, etc.

That's next on the list.

Best,

Matt
