Might be best off to tack a tab onto the cage directly, instead of trying to clamp onto that bar...

most Tractor Supply stores sell a number of small mirrors designed to fit on the roll over protection on small to medium tractors. They work perfectly on the rollbar and are cheap. Realize that not all places in the country abound with tractor supply houses, but here in Kansas they are on every corner
