Might be best off to tack a tab onto the cage directly, instead of trying to clamp onto that bar...

most Tractor Supply stores sell a number of small mirrors designed to fit on the roll over protection on small to medium tractors. They work perfectly on the rollbar and are cheap. Realize that not all places in the country abound with tractor supply houses, but here in Kansas they are on every corner

I wish there was something like the Longacre convex mirror but only convex in side-to-side viewing. As they are now you get a great view around your periphery but you also get it up and down. That means you can see the bottom of your rear interior and the top of your roof but cars behind you are tiny.
