Hand to God, up until about a year ago we had a "Beaver Liquors" here in Nassau. Right on the main drag into town, it never failed to get a rise from male passers by (pardon pun). Women- not so much. Though privately I'll bet they enjoy a good liquor.

There is a liquor store in Beaver Creek, Colorado called Beaver Liquors. I have their t shirt.

The Bemidji State University athletic teams are known as the BSU Beavers.
The BSU women's teams are known as.....The Lady Beavers.
Only in Northern Minnesota could a university get away with that.

I used to live around the corner from the Bunghole in Salem, MA. Now I live a few miles away from Exit 69, Big Beaver (MI).
Things are looking up.
Have spent plenty of time in the Bemidji bars, haven't gotten to know any of the Lady Beavers tho. Equally amusing, the airport code for Bemidji is BJI. I presume the I is short for International?
