G27 is double the cash adds the clutch and separate shifter. G27 is built to higher quality level. DFGT is dual platform, PC and PS3. So depends on your usage. If it is PC only then I would go with the G27. I have the DFGT and primarily use it with the PC. Works great minus the clutch and the fact that I sit at my normal computer desk/chair to drive and not a full sim rig. 007DT is building a sweet sim rig and will post the specs soon.

Fanatec offers PC and Xbox compatibility -- appealing if you're into Forza. But Fanatec is really expensive. Personally, I do not think that a clutch pedal is that critical. It's not going to be realistic enough to serve as a training tool.
Do any sim setups have a "real" brake pedal where braking force is proportional to brake pedal pressure and not how far the pedal is pressed down?

i got a GT, it's pretty loud as the motor turns. but it's cheap and effective.
sounds like fanatec clubsports are pressure sensitive brake pedal instead of position.
and CST

I use a G25 (the predecessor to the G27). The steering "heaviness" is quite communicative, but it's still what you would call a 'prosumer' set. The pedals for both the G25 and G27 are upgradeable thus: http://legends-league.com/forum/view...p=36261#p36261
The G25 and G27 are compatible with PS3 and everything on PC under Windows (iRacing, etc) with good options for input sensitivity under Windows.
Edit: don't expect the clutch to be a significant part of the experience, even though there's a pedal for it. Without force feedback, it's really just a button.

G25 and G27 wheels are both nice.
If you want the real deal for pedals, check out CST. Todd Cannon is a very good guy and his product is excellent. In fact, a lot of the iRacing demo booths run with a Logitech wheel and CST pedals.

I have a G25 and love it. I prefer it to the G27.
I would love a Fanatec so that I can use it with my xbox360, but that's the only reason why. I think the Logitech is hold up better than the Fanatec according to most of the message boards I follow.
I did not like the Driving Force GT at all after having used the Fanatec and G25/27 wheels.

I've used CST pedals for the last three years and I like them a lot, but the PP in the Logitech pedal set is the next best thing for a third the money.

I like the G25 sequential shifter, I like the G27 quieter and smoother wheel drive.
I will eventually buy a Fanatec for FM4, but the prolonged and uncertain delivery from Thomas are just too much trouble right now.

It's amazing that Microsoft's game console (Xbox) does not have cross-compatibility with PC game controllers. Worse, Microsoft itself gave up on making a wheel/pedal control for Xbox, leaving the whole market to: (1) Fanatac at insane prices and iffy availability, and (2) some Fisher-Price piece of cr@p called MadCat or something like that. The Microsoft wheel/pedals were OK, but fell apart within a year or so of periodic use.
It seems inconceivable to me because I wouldn't dream of using a sim driving game with a hand controller.

I have the Fanatec Turbo S wheel with clubsport pedals.... I use it for PS3 (GT5), XBOX (Forza3) and PC (iracing.com)... it is insane. finest wheel on the market... and officially licensed by Porsche.. so you know it's good.
