Lightbulb Do you wear driving glasses?

Fast driving depends on vision. Some use to speculate that open wheel cars may have been faster than sports cars because the driver could see better. Today we have polarized photochromic lenses that self adjust with changing light conditions as well as blocking out dangerous glare and haze. Do you wear driving glasses?

I wear polarized sunglasses when it's bright out. Otherwise, regular prescription glasses.

I'm definitely faster with corrected vision than without!

FWIW, I'd recommend against wearing contact lenses. Used to when I first started racing. But I encountered a dust cloud situation I had to drive through and ended up struggling to see the rest of the race. Glasses only when on track. Fortunately, I've now had laser correction and don't need distance glasses anymore. Visor or sunglasses only now.

Seeing where you're going on a track is pretty damned importante. I always wear polarized shades even when it's overcast. Works well for me.

But after that LASIC... don't you now require reading glasses to see your gauges?!
