Default Big thanks to Dan Jacobs

I just wanted to publicly thank Dan Jacobs for his help this weekend at Watkins Glen. After one of the sessions I noticed some rubbing on one of my fenders from the tire. As I was "fixing" the problem with a hammer, Dan walked over with a fender roller and said, "here try this, it may work a little better." Later in the weekend he lent me another tool and some words of wisdom on another small issue I was dealing with. I can see why so many people entrust their cars to he and his team.

Thanks again Dan!

Was good to meet you (and Jack) Chris, next time ask for some input (we aren't secretive), the more up to speed the more fun for all!

And if the was a blue fender roller with a hacked on adapter (my neophyte welding skills!) it was mine, told Dan to hang onto it last year, glad I did!

My two favorite Dan J. quotes -
"here try this, it may work a little better"

Hopeful guy after his car comes in on a flatbed and Dan is looking at it -

"Dan, what do you think?"
"Dan - "Hate to tell you, but i'm doing the Buzzard Walk"

Dan went out of his way to tell me there was oil on the track in one recent session, I had not known about it. We need more Dans.

Dan J is definitely an Ace on top of being a nice guy. He has that calming influence on his racers and can interpret what we're telling him about the car so to make it faster next session out... That's above landing excellently prepared cars at the track for his customers. That's also above building the best cars out there. And yes, Dan has some of the best sayings out there.... My personal favorite:

Fred - Dan I think we should put a splittrr on my car.

Dan: sure... Only if you want to go slower....2

When you introduced me to him, Fred, he seemed like good people. Hell, he knew who I was by my avatar!

Dan is a great guy. Fred, I agree with you though, you need a splitter for the reason Dan said

FYI everyone, Fred did a 2:10, at the Glen, in an E car.

I saw him coming my way again this weekend after my incident and told him to stay away and that I was going to call animal control...

Dan is a great guy and he has a keen sense for these cars. He helped me sort out my 3.6 Turbo after other well known people (now bankrupt and gone) tried to sort it out for 6 months. Turns out that it was just old gas in the tank.

A real class act. Harder and harder to come by these days. Gary didn't even want his car fixed and Dan insisted..... Amazing...
