Default Suggestions for washing my aluminum trailer

Hi All,
My trailer has logged about 2000 miles this month and is looking nasty with dirt and bugs galore. It is an Aerovault trailer. The roof is actually green with pollen.

I saw this old thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/racing-a...d-trailer.html

The last time I washed it was by hand with a mitt! It did just an ok job and was laborious. Would a power washer with built in soap work well? What psi? Do others simply use an RV brush?
Thanks.

I've always used an RV brush and just went to town. You could probably use some aluminum brighter from a truck stop on your trailer.

If pressure washing, watch the seams with seam sealer. I noticed you trailer has them in a few spots and you wouldn't want to blow it all out.

How about using the "foaming brush" at a local car wash?

I'm going to give the RV stick this a try. What's the worst that could happen?

If there was one nearby that was easy to drive through with the trailer I'd consider it but most of the 'foaming brush' places around here have limited exit space!

Dave, go to a boat supply place and look for some Aluminum Wax. Woody Way and Colonite make a product like this. Pontoon boat owners use this to protect the aluminum pontoons. There are lots of products out that will help protect your aluminum and keep it shiney.

Thanks for the tip. That makes sense. Shouldn't be a problem to find a boat place in this neck of the woods!
