I haven't heard anything about that...I heard that they are in bankruptcy now, but I was down there for the Metro NY DE last weekend, and they were signing people up for memberships. For what it's worth, that doesn't really sound like an operation that was going to be shutting down

Nah, they're just raising money to get to and disappear in South America.

That's BS. The principals are well-funded and the bankruptcy was to restructure the debt load.

Was not speaking to you. Was addressing the original poster's relation of a "rumor."

They have a full slate of almost every type of motor racing. My understanding is that the big events and club events are right on track(no pun intended) as far as revenue/turnout, it's the condo's/membership/I would have to think TRG not going forward had to change the plans for sure.

Like others have said, restructuring of the debt and moving forward like alot of business's do.

This has been addressed elsewhere, but Kevin's announcement of the building of "TRG East" occurred well after the opening of NJMP, was never an ingredient in the financing of the development of the park and even after Kevin's announcement, dragged on and on.

I'm sure this was a contributor to the NJMP owners being (rightly) concerned about the existence of the wherewithal to build this facility, considering ground was never broken and amid well-publicized money woes for TRG's Sprint Cup effort as well as pulling back from Grand Am (at the time), but did not enter into their deliberations to file Chapter 11 to force the lenders to restructure the debt.

Remember http://www.porschesport.com/New%20Fa...for%20TRG.html

Sounds like the myriad of racetracks planned for future opening...

Yep, just heard it on FOX News, it's official. NJMP is closing and Obama is abdicating, Osama Bin Ladin is actually in South Beach for the Rap Awards trying to pave the streets with shiny flyers and Paolo isn't going to start any more threads..

To all concerned NJMP is healthy and running smoothly. I am now their lead instructor for the member days and they are activily signing new members for their Drivers Club. The financial reorganization seems to have made NJMP an even better facility in terms of management and new offerings to the members and club renters of the facility.

^^^^^^^^^^^ Pete is what I consider an accurate source of information. See you there on Friday and Tuesday!!! My impression is the operation is fine tuning and only getting better each time I go there.
