Ok, for whatever reason the steering signal is not signed or the element is not set up to be signed.
What that means is there is only 0 (straight ahead) and how many degrees more on either side move the wheel clockwise. Hence it only turns as much as the wheel turns and only to the right. It needs a signed (negative value, usually) to tell it you're turning left instead of right.
You could also need a math channel that allows a signed channel to be generated from the raw data from two channels of data from the car. It's interesting that the base scene that I and/or Joe built is modified with different fonts, but something wasn't copied correctly.
I'm glad to help you fix it, but I'll need the scene and a data file to figure out what is screwed up.

I was delighted to meet Peter at the Lime Rock Historics this weekend. Thanks for stopping by! Peter took home a championship watch. I took home a bunch of class- 2nd and 3rd-place badges. Hmmmm. Still, not so bad for my first trip to Lime Rock, I guess.
