I see the suggestion for Peltor periodically, but when I look, I never see a Peltor product that is really suited for instructing. i.e. something that can easily be taken from car to car, and that uses a student style headset is not in-the-ear style and/or does not require installation into a helmet. Can you point us to specific Peltor products?

Chatterbox has come out with a Bluetooth version. Might be worth a look when prices come down.

Good topic as I underrstand the wired and inexpensive version of Chatterbox is going or has gone out of production.

The previous mainstay the blue Nady was real iffy when it was working and failed often.

I've been useing Chatterbox for years now with no issues. I bought the version that I mounted inmy helmet with 2 earphones and the mic and bought the earphone w/ mic on a boom for my student. Works perfectly and you can easily buy these at any local motorcycle shop.

Anything with the correct plug. Racecom, OMP, Peltor, Sparco and so on..

Guess it depends a bit on what kind of equipment your student has.

The Peltor solution might be a bit overkill. If he or she has none, perhaps there are simpler and better options?

The old Chatterbox CB50 works fine. I have been using the same one for 5+ years with no issues. Yes, they are no longer in production so quantities are limited to what the retailers have on the shelves. We have plenty in stock. The NADY communicator is a lower cost option, but not as durable in my experiences with them. Have 3 in my tool box.

Info on both system can be found in the links below. We have plenty of both systems in stock. If you have any questions, please contact our sales office at 1-800-934-9112.

I did not know the chatterbox CB50 was going out of production. That is what the majority of NASA NE instructors use. Effective & inexpensive . It was much better than the NADY. Actually Stableenergies.com has a large inventory of Chatterboxes in stock including seperate student head sets, batteries, etc. No immediate problem.
