Nice Frank..,,,great pic. Imagining that image on the uphill esses at the Glen. Just crazy.
Charles: By an odd twist of racing chance, the Crowell boys who are normally in the first two rows, got caught out with a change in the weather. Qualfying for that race ( Cup Nationals) looked like it was going to be in the rain but the rain stopped and a dry line appeared so the Crowell's had to make a late change to dry tires. But, they forgot to remove the spacers they use on the narrower rain tires which made the wider dry tires run the fenders when they went out for qualifying.
They had to slip into to the pits for get the spacers removed, but by the time they got back on track they didnt get in a complete lap and basically ended up with a warm up lap for qual. In that race they made their way to the top 5, but Bill Comat was the Cup National Champion...what would have been but not for a couple spacers........we'll never know......and Bill doesn't care.

And Bill, I'll try to do my best to continue that Canadian domination...

Thanks! I'll race Tyler wth the 2009 Championship car. So I hope that I'll be able to fill up the shoes with the #55 car... Notwithstanding the fact that there are going to be Rodrigo, Chris L., Vito V. and other quick guys too!
Best of luck to both of you too!
