You lose a ton of ground if you lift and the other guy doesn't. Lots of spots where you learn to take flat instead of a slight lift. Even the slightest lift loses you a bunch of ground. T1 and T13 at Mid Oh for example, but there also spots where you can gain a lot of ground.

That accident happened so fast that I didn't even have time to consider lifting. That red Ford has been the culprit of several other incidents as well.

Yeah, in Vee you only use 3rd and 4th...at every track.

Follow-up... I rented a Spec Boxster this weekend and raced with POC at Willow Springs. I had a great time, the cars are very well balanced, hook up well and fun to drive. It is a momentum car (like Formula Ford) and requires precise driving and consistent laps to run up front. My FF is sold, so Spec Box here I come!
