Default Incar video Rain Road Atlanta PCA 2011

Hi Guys,
I finally had the time to edit some video from the PCA race at rd Atl a few weeks ago. This is the sprint "a" race on Saturday. It was a lot of fun sloshing around in the rain.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orqHDAMAs8Y

I also have video of some quick dry laps that I will try to edit and post up a little later. We where using a prototype version of the new racecamhd and we had a little trouble with the video format early on. Hopefully we can recover some dry laps as well.

Nice driving - good video. Thanks for sharing.

Were the best lap time numbers from Sprint 1 correct? Leh put down a best lap almost 8 sec quicker than Chris Musante with 2nd fastest time? 1:22.47 vs 1:30.14?

Yes, but sprint1 was weird as we only had a few dry laps then it rained. Leh was the only one to break a 1:30 (by a mile too!) while we all battled behind him till it rained and most people pulled in (on slicks, no fun...).

Leh, did you pull in and get rain tires?

Ha! That's what I was hoping to do. The car was hooked up and made it easy to move up.

As Mike said, the first sprint was a strange situation. It was on the cusp of raining hard. I went out on rain tires with the hope it would start raining. The track was dry but very cold and unfortunately for me didn't rain soon enough and a left rear tire failed so my "qualifying" lap in the dry on rain tires wasn't that good

Leh started on dry tires and came in for rains. Fernando went out on rain tires but came in and waited until it started raining and went back out.

Assume it had to be something like that (not taking anything away from Leh, of course). Sounds like it was an interesting day.

11 is one better as we all know. Nice driving. The car seems very hooked up.

You don't need brake lights to pass Tech in PCA? Either that or the lead yellow 911 turned his off so you couldn't see his brake points (not like you needed to).

To be honest I didn't even notice. Brake lights are definitely required.
