Yes... Bela did his best but Fred is....... Fred.

Ilko - Great pics! I was running a bit loose, was that early in the day or late in Sprint #2? Would love to have my pic hi-res, thx!

Edit: Never mind, I can actually SEE my rear sway adjustment so I know this was later on. Would love to have the original!

Did Mike make a clean pass on Chris at the restart of the first sprint after the safety car came back in? Didn't stick around till the end of the day but there was some speculation in the paddock that he jumped it...

Gary, send me your info I have a few images of your car.

Chris slowed down to avoid passing the Pace Car. Mike got a one lap penalty.

The restart was really ugly. I slowed down as much as I could when Chris parked it after going down the hill flat out (up to his usual tricks...). I think I stayed behind him until I accelerated when I saw the green flag, but my video did not record so I can't confirm. It was a fun race anyway, my car worked well in sprint1. I don't know what happened in the second race but I was way off that pace, my car was sliding all over the place. I could not keep Baron behind me, he and Mike Marsal drove really well. I have some crazy video of Mike driving the wheels off the car, going up the uphill sideways at 90MPH...

We had excellent weather and a GREAT CROWD! The B Paddock was filled, people had to park up top! Great idea for CVR to publicize the race and get club members out to watch. It's a lot more fun when there are people there.

Indeed. I am glad things went the way they did this W.E. Car is actually better now than it was before the Atlanta incident.

Dan Jacobs did, yet again, a phenomenal job setting up the car. We spent P1 and P2 making final adjustments. Went out in P3 on a mission! Fastest lap of the weekend for me: http://vimeo.com/23115166

Car handled like a charm. Could carry speed all over the place like never before.

I to HairyDog once more! Also to CVR and the event sponsors for putting together a spectacular event!

Great driving Fred, certainly supports the "More Gas Less Brake" approach to fast laps.

what a great event! weather was good, track was fast, people were great as ever. Had a fantastic time running with Lee over the weekend, good clean competition certainly made it even more enjoyable!

Wow, Fred's SC corners flatter than my cup car, amazing for a torsion bar car. Love that early apexing and sort of double turn-ins, but the apex at the last turn was RIGHT on the edge... NO margin for error!

Boxster S low 59 is very impressive, 130mph on the straight! No chance for the 2.7RS in F anymore

The mid engine platform of the Boxster and Cayman is showing it's potential now that people are tuning and driving them well. I knew it the first time I autocrossed a Boxster in '98 and it was SO MUCH faster than my 911 in the turns and especially in the slaloms.

The #109 987 Boxster, 3.2l, also took advantage of the cool overcast weather and laid down a G class record at 58.6, which was a good 1/2 a second faster than my prevoius best in that car.Cool, overcast, minimal humidity . i was there tuesday for the test and tune in 85 muggy conditions and the car was straining to get near 1:00.

Great job to all.
