The Camaros and Vettes were too fast... if they were close coming down the hill (traffic etc) they could pass me on the straight with all that power and their brakes were good too (front tires as big as my rears). Lapped traffic hurt me, as I need to keep momentum while they could get back up to speed easier so once they got ahead I could not catch up. I got a 2nd and 3rd in GT1, (an SPO Vette won both races overall, then us) and led the 1st race overall for a few laps. I think the 997 cup is a decent regional SCCA GT1 car, at least at LRP we all ran about the same lap times. But at a place like Atlanta or Road America the long straights would kill the 911's chances.
